Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services connects families with critical community resources. We help children and young adults who have special needs, including distinct health care needs, developmental and learning disabilities, and behavioral or mental health needs.
We also work with families and caregivers to enhance their abilities to support their child’s growth or recovery so that they can thrive in their communities. Our services provide individual, family-focused support that respects cultures, values and lifestyles.We work closely with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health to provide Individual and Family Flexible Support Services. We offer individual and group support for children and young adults, as well as family members and caregivers.
Our programs include crisis management and wraparound services, which work to foster the development of age-appropriate social, emotional, academic and pre-vocational skills. They also focus on strengthening families’ resilience through intensive interventions and therapeutic behavioral supports that enhance communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution. We also work with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to provide services such as:
Family Networks helps make and manage referrals to service providers and assists DCF in helping families navigate different levels of care.
