Our Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention (YMCI) Program is designed for children and young adults (20 years old and younger) and is staffed by qualified crisis professionals with extensive experience caring for children and young adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
Crisis clinicians and family partners travel directly to the child in crisis for an in-person assessment (telehealth services are also available) and work to de-escalate, assess, and stabilize the individual on-site. The team can also provide up to seven days of ongoing crisis counseling, support and stabilization for patients and their families. The YMCI team’s goal is to keep children safe and support families in their homes.
Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention is a key component of wraparound care: A comprehensive, holistic, family-focused approach to responding to children or youth experiencing severe mental health or behavioral challenges.
YMCI is available to anyone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
